Today we are taking a look at the hyped books still sitting on my TBR. I think there are a lot of hyped books just sitting there, waiting forever to be picked up, because my scared self thinks it won’t like them like everyone else.
Today we are taking a look at the books that got me into reading. Trip down the memory lane begins! All the warm and fuzzy feelings from when I started to READ.
Today we are taking a look at the books I wish I had read when I was younger. This requires some serious thinking, maybe. Though I do have couple in mind already!
All of these above pretty much deal with mental health, dealing with your feelings and rights. And even though I have learned a lot from each of these books, and hold them close to my heart every day, I think I would not be such a mess at this point of life if I had read them way younger. I mean I’m 27 and I’m a mess still. All I ever learned as a kid from home was to hide every single feeling because by showing them, you’ll just get hurt. I have never had anyone to talk to, anyone who actually listens to me and is genuinely interested of me, of listening me. My mental health is a mess and even during this day, I have a hard time showing any type of feelings. With my own kids, I have obviously had to learn a lot about all that. And it is easy with them.
But all in all, I think all of the books shown above would have helped me growing up a lot! Sorry I made it all sad and depressing again but I wanted to truly think about books that honestly would have thought me while growing up.
Today we are taking a look at the books from my childhood. This is quite nice topic! Here’s a long ramble ahead, so feel free to skip that, lol.
I got my first library card when I was 8 years old. My mom never actually let me get a library card because she didn’t think it was useful in any way. But when we moved to the town where I still live, my step-father with as too, we lived right next to a this small lovely library. I literally just had to go out and across the road and there it was. So I went there the very first day when we moved and they got me this piece of paper that had to be signed by my parent to allow me to get a library card, being under age and all. (Library cards have always been free here in Finland. So it wasn’t a matter of money for my mom to deny me that. She just has always loved to make me feel miserable and let my siblings have everything whilst I got nothing. I’ve always had to earn money and buy everything myself if I wanted something, or just ask my dad which I never wanted to do because “I don’t deserve it”. 🙄) So I gave the paper to my step-father. And since I have always been the one who let himself in my life and loved him like he was my real father, and got the same treatment back, he signed the paper. So I became a daily “customer” at that library. The librarian was this sweet older woman who always kept books “in hold” for me at her desk that she thought I’d like. So here are some of the books I read all over again from that little library.
Today we are taking a look at the authors I want to try. There’s quite a few authors I would want to try out. So let’s take a look at the top 5 of them, shall we?
Today we are taking a look at the series I need to finish. Well, looks like Meeghan is going to call me out this week! I have more unfinished series than finished ones. I’m a little scared to even check out how many of those there are. But let’s dive in, shall we?
Today we are taking a look at the series I want to start. That shouldn’t be a problem. We all know how good I am starting one but never finishing them (Harry Potter and Tog being the only ones).
Today we are taking a look at the books I’ll definitely read this year. I think we all know by now that I am the worst when it comes to sticking with any TBRs. But these books listed here are at least the ones that I want to read this year, okay?
Today we are taking a look at my most anticipated releases of 2021. I actually have no idea what is being published this year, other than Maas and Kristoff’s new books. So I shall go and do a little digging first! (Shame on me!)
