Broken (in the best possible way) by Jenny Lawson
I’m reading this as an audiobook. And I’m 100% sure that all Jenny Lawson’s books I just need to listen as an audiobook and they will be my favorites. There is just something in her narration. 👌🏽 Well, she’s also very relatable person for me as well and it makes the world seem a little bit funnier for a while with everything while listening to her.
The 7½ Deaths of Evelyn Hardcastle by Stuart Turton
I’m not going to lie, but I was so confused at first when I started reading! I kept switching from the pages to the synopsis like “uhhhhhh, did they mess up with this and put the synopsis of another book in this?!”. But I’m finally on the right tracks now. I like it, but it will need a big “WOW” in order to climb to five stars.
The Secret Detectives by Ella Risbridger – 4⭐ | This book was great! Though I know I said it was easy to read, I can see some parts that could be confusing to children at age 10-13 or whatever the children age range is. It is still intriguing and keeps your interest in it. And I could say that every character mentioned in the book is involved in the story from the beginning.
The ending was quite hasty to my liking but this being a book for children, I can see why there wasn’t necessarily more depth to everything in the end.
Probably one of the above. ACOSF has been seriously calling me from my shelf during this week but I’m not sure if I’m ready yet. Legendborn has been intriguing me as well. But I might end up picking up The Red Garden as a library book though. I don’t know. Knowing my brain, I end up picking something totally different after Turton’s book.
What are your Ws for this week?
