The Secret Detective – Ella Risbridger
Oh how I’m flying through this one! I was just scrolling through newly added books at our library’s website at the start of this year and saw this there. I got so excited to see that they had actually pre-ordered something and put it on hold. I had no idea what I was getting into yesterday when I fetched this from the library (finally!). But I’m really enjoying it so far. So much actually that I’m almost done with it.
The Pumpkinheads by Rainbow Rowell & Faith Erin Hicks – 4⭐ | I loved this! Such a good little story about friends and their last autumn together before going to college. Though I did long for more depth to their relationship but oh well!
The Bat by Jo Nesbø – 3⭐ | It was an okay start for a super long series to go but I do like my mystery books a little more thrilling and intense than this was. I didn’t really care about any of the characters and well, it didn’t feel like the murder mystery was the main thing in this book. I don’t know how to exactly explain that but I hope this makes at least some sense.
This is one of the books I thought I’d never pick up and read, it just doesn’t interest me that much. But it was in the mystery bag that I grabbed from our library so I guess I’m reading it!
