What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I started The Belles just about an hour ago actually! I’m very much liking it so far, even though I’m about 100 pages in. It’s great to see so much diversity between the sister already! Even though they are meant to be “the same”, they are still very much different from each others.
I had completely forgotten how intense ACOWAR gets toward the end! Is it okay to stay in the car and keep on reading instead of going to work?!
Ninth House by Leigh Bardugo – 3⭐ | Ninth House really just left me here wondering what next? Do I care enough to actually continue? Or am I just satisfied with the ending and never going to think about it again?
Honestly, I also feel bad again. I always let all the hypes get to me, then I build some huge ass dream castles about every book before I read them and when I fall flat on my ass from up there, I feel so bad. I want to love all the books everyone else does. But I think Leigh Bardugo’s books just aren’t for me then. I need fast paced books, these slow burn books don’t work for me, I guess it’s time for me to just admit it.
A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J. Maas – 5⭐ | After my re-read, I wanted to up my rating to five. The second book was my favorite of them all almost three years ago, and remains in that place. I had forgotten how good and intense and lovely and all this book was. Yes, my review back then still holds and it did frustrate me a lot from time to time, but that’s how it is! (I’m still too lazy to delete the whole review and write it again..)
Fence vol. 1 by C.S. Pacat – 4⭐ | Is it bad that I had forgotten I read this volume at the end of last December?! Well, I re-read it yesterday then. And I still don’t wuite know how to review graphic novels. Other than: I really like the artwork in this one! The characters didn’t really feel that different from each others but I found them likeable still. It was a nice quick read to kind of wind down after Ninth House, even though I know absolutely nothing about fencing. Though that does not matter, going into Fence! I think it was all explained easily and shortly enough for a mundane like me to understand all that I needed to know.
What are your Ws for this week?
