Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme is hosted by Sam @Taking on a World of Words. You can participate it too! Just answer the three questions below.

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

Making a slow process with Becoming, listening to it whenever I have a quiet moment with no kids running around. But I’m still loving it and I kind of wish it would never end and I could just listen to her voice all the time!

Just about 100 pages in Catwoman, started that yesterday since I had one ARC that I should have read last year already. So far it has been good, trying to figure out how exactly I feel about it. I do love DC and Marvel but I’m not that familiar with Catwoman, so this is kind of new to me!

Texts from Jane Eyre by Mallory Ortberg – 2⭐ | This book had so much potential to be a funny book. Honestly, I did have high expectations for it after hearing so many people praise it.
But on truth it made me cringe and skip more than even smile. Yes, there were couple sets of texts that were actually funny, but mostly it was not.
My main problem probably was that I had no idea who even half of the characters were. So it was really hard for me to get into those texts. And the ones that I did know, well, those mostly felt like they had been written forcibly.
Plus If I remember correctly, there were only one from Jane Eyre.
All on all this felt like a book that has been forcibly written, making fun of different characters.

My Mother’s Silence by Lauren Westwood – 3⭐ | This was a nice book and a quick read. Not exactly what I expected it to be but it was a nice change to read a mystery that had a happy ending, sort of.

I’m thinking I’ll pick one of these once I’m done with Catwoman. We’ll see what my mind has to say when it comes time to pick my next read.

What are your Ws for this week?

  1. […] WWW Wednesday – I read two books during the week. Those were both rather short ones and quick to read, but it’s still two books! One of them actually was an ARC I got last year from Netgalley but never picked it up. Now I’m done with it and also done with all unread ARCs from Netgalley (time to request some new ones, right?).
