Hey guys! How are you doing so far this week? I didn’t even realize how much I missed horses during these past 6 years I have been home with kids. But gosh those are amazing creatures and I love working with them. I just hope people would appreciate this career more than they do now. It is super hard work, not just us petting the horses.

Top 5 Tuesday is created and hosted by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm and todays topic is top 5 reasons I love reading!

Perhaps the biggest reason why I love reading is me time. I’ve got three kids, fiance, work, school, dog, house work etc every day. But when I pick up my current read and sit down with it, that’s my me time. That is when I shut everything else out (until someone stumbles in their toys or steps on a lego or fight or yeah), I relax and I can let go of all the stress I’ve had during the day. Even if it’s for a 10 minutes time, it helps me out so much!
I’ve also been listening to my audiobook when I’m cleaning the other stable alone while everyone else is in the other one and I can tell you it makes me forget what I’m doing and I have been rather quicker at it. I’m not going through the same mantra anymore “so much hay in here again, annoying to clean, gosh.” 😀 But I actually enjoy my time while cleaning a stall because I have my book with me. You know what I mean?

I’ve never been anywhere else but Sweden and Estonian. Why? Because I can get there by boat. I don’t have to fly. I’m scared of airplanes and I doubt I’ll never set my foot in one. But books allow me to travel anywhere I want! Even to places no one can go with plane or anything else. I’ve been in so many amazing, terrifying and beautiful places that how can I even ask for more?

Fun fact: I never learnt anything while reading books for school. Never. The knowledge just didn’t seem to stick in my head no matter how many times I read the said books. But with the books I actually want to read and enjoy reading, I have learnt so much about how world works. I’ve learnt about different countries, even some that I have never heard of before.

God, I’m the world unsocial person ever. You don’t even know how hard it is for me to speak with people in real life. I get so stressed out and anxious whenever I know I have to talk with someone I do not know. I can’t sleep, I can’t eat. It’s the worst. I enjoy being by myself. I don’t need to talk with anyone. And when I do, I’m so exhausted when I get home or everyone leaves from our home. Feels like I have been working 24/7 for seven days. I hate it but well, that’s just me. People doesn’t even understand that that is just how I work. I’m not social, I’m shy and everything else. I’m not talking because I don’t know what to say, when to say.. Not because I’m angry and hate the person I’m talking with..

ANYWAY! The point is that I have been talking with so many bookish person here that I can’t even believe it! It has been such an amazing year here in bookish community. I can talk about books and everything else. I have stepped out of my comfort zone and commented on other people’s blogs. I might not be the best one at that, but at least I’m trying and getting better at it all the time.

It has been hard for me to fall asleep. I tend to start thinking too much and it ends up in full blown panic attack. But books have been such a big help! I take book in bed with me and just read. At some point I fall asleep peacefully without too much thinking, just the book with me. The Man doesn’t like it that much but well, he has to live with it because I want to get my peaceful sleeps. 😀

What are your top reasons you love reading?
