Hey guys! Hopefully you’ve had a very good year and this year has started nicely as well. I’m still on vacation from work/school but going back next week.
Kind of can’t wait to get back to work because I really enjoy working at the stables and being with the horses but then again it is nice to spend time with the kids again. I mean of course we spend time after work/daycare but now that we are all on vacation, we get to be together way more than just couple of hours before bedtime.
Anyway, today I’m here to show you all the reading challenges I’m participating this year! I’m doing 3 this time. Which means that I’ve taken one more challenge for myself than I usually do. So let’s get on with it and see what I’ve found!
Beat the Backlist 2019 is hosted by Novelnight.
And what do I have to do to participate in this challenge?
Well I only need to start tackling down my way too long TBR list! And to be more specific, finally read the books that have been hanging on there for waaay too long. Of course those books has to be published in 2018 or earlier than that. Which is not a problem for me since almost all the books on my TBR have been published like before 2015.
There also is some extra fun in this challenge but the only other thing that I’m participating is:
HOGWARTS HOUSE MINI CHALLENGE!
This doesn’t really affect this challenge other than I have to put all my read books to this list there is and every read book gains points for my house’s point stack. And at the end of the year we can see which house has beat the most backlist books!
So what is my house that I’m “competing” in?
BOOKS THAT HAVE BEEN SITTING ON MY TBR

OKAY, there’s over 100 books on my TBR so here’s just couple examples of what’s sitting there. These have all been there since 2015 and more. 😀 So I think 2019 is the year when I finally have to stop neglecting my TBR books and finally start to read them!
The ones who have been following my little blog from the start, knows that I’ve been taking part of Popsugar Reading Challenge every year. Not once have I completed it but every year I’ve done a little better than the one before! So maybe this will be the year when I can actually finish even half of the prompts, right?
One can always hope.

Ivy @Ivy’s Well Used Library Card made her own reading challenge for 2019. And like I haven’t taken enough challenges already, I had to participate in this one too! It had way too many good prompts in it that I just couldn’t pass it.
But with a “twist”. I’m not going to complete every prompt she has (there’s a total of 50), I’ve chosen some of those that I think I can actually complete during this year and will also work for my other challenges. So let’s see, shall we?

And then there’s of course the Goodreads reading challenge. For this year I’m going to set it up to 30 at first. Then change it over the year if it looks like I’ll get more books read than that.
Are you taking part on any challenges? Please feel free to tell me if you are!
I haven’t heard of The Ultimate Homemade Reading Challenge before, it sounds quite specific 🙂 I’m doing the Beat the Backlist Challenge this year, I don’t know how many I’m adding to it yet
