TOP 5 TUESDAY (#44) : BOOKS I ALMOST DNF’D BUT NOW I’M IN LOVE WITH

t5t

Hey guys! Everything is going great at the moment, if you want to know. Kids got their daycare places and tomorrow we are going to go and see what the girls’ place is like. Honestly, I can’t wait to get to start working. I could easily start tomorrow if I didn’t have kids.

Anyway, tomorrow I’m here with T5T! Top 5 Tuesday is created and hosted by Shanah at Bionic Book Worm and todays topic is top 5 books that I almost DNF’d but now I’m in love with! This was pretty hard actually, I had to really dig in to all my read books and think what I almost DNF’d. Because usually I tend to just straight DNF a book if I’m thinking about it. 🙈

Both A Monster Calls and The Perks of Being a Wallflower were somewhat meh at the start and I couldn’t quite get myself into the stories and I was thinking that maybe those are not for me and I should just quit reading. But I’m glad I finished them both because darn those were some great books!

väli

In both of these, Nevernight and It Ends With Us, had something at the beginning of the books that rubbed me in the wrong way and made me think of not reading them. But now, I’m so in for the next part of Nevernight!

The Little Prince.. I love this book so much! I’ve read it to my kids like million times already and it never gets old. But I remember that first time I had to read this at school and oh how I really didn’t want to do that and I just wanted to quit reading. But thumbs up to young Hanna who did eventually read it and loved it anyway.

  1. I’m so glad that I wasn’t the only one who struggled with the beginning of Nevernight. it made my list too. The first few chapters weren’t promising at all. There was something about the time period changes and the footnotes that I just couldn’t get into. So glad I pushed through because now I’m OBSESSED! Thanks for participating – added you to the list 🙂
