SEPTEMBER BOOK HAUL

Now that finally all the books that I ordered in September have finally arrived, I thought that I could as well haul them in here! There’s a total of 6 books so for me that is many enough for a book haul. So I guess without further ado, let’s see the books!

These first three books are from Book Depository and like you know, I’ve already read THUG and Gemina (and loved both of them).

The Hate U Give

Sixteen-year-old Starr Carter moves between two worlds: the poor neighborhood where she lives and the fancy suburban prep school she attends. The uneasy balance between these worlds is shattered when Starr witnesses the fatal shooting of her childhood best friend Khalil at the hands of a police officer. Khalil was unarmed.

Gemina (second book in The Illuminae Files)

When an elite BeiTech strike team invades the station, Hanna and Nik are thrown together to defend their home. But alien predators are picking off the station residents one by one, and a malfunction in the station’s wormhole means the space-time continuum might be ripped in two before dinner. Soon Hanna and Nik aren’t just fighting for their own survival; the fate of everyone on the Hypatia—and possibly the known universe—is in their hands.

Heir of Fire (third book in the Throne of Glass series)

Celaena has survived deadly contests and shattering heartbreak―but at an unspeakable cost. Now, she must travel to a new land to confront her darkest truth . . . a truth about her heritage that could change her life―and her future―forever. Meanwhile, brutal and monstrous forces are gathering on the horizon, intent on enslaving her world. Will Celaena find the strength to not only fight her inner demons, but to take on the evil that is about to be unleashed?

And here we are, in the last three books I ordered in September. These three are from Amazon since Touched by Death could be bought from there only. I know I’ve already read this one but I had the ARC as ebook and the cover and the book is just too amazing not to buy the physical copy. I don’t usually order books from there because of the shipping costs to Finland but I did get these three in reasonable price and I’m super excited that I bought them (they were also a little cheaper there than they were at BD)

The Girl in the Steel Corset (first book in Steampunk Chronicles)

In 1897 England, sixteen-year-old Finley Jayne has no one… except the “thing” inside her.

When a young lord tries to take advantage of Finley, she fights back. And wins. But no normal Victorian girl has a darker side that makes her capable of knocking out a full-grown man with one punch…

Stalking Jack the Ripper (first book in Stalking Jack the Ripper)

Seventeen-year-old Audrey Rose Wadsworth was born a lord’s daughter, with a life of wealth and privilege stretched out before her. But between the social teas and silk dress fittings, she leads a forbidden secret life.

Against her stern father’s wishes and society’s expectations, Audrey often slips away to her uncle’s laboratory to study the gruesome practice of forensic medicine. When her work on a string of savagely killed corpses drags Audrey into the investigation of a serial murderer, her search for answers brings her close to her own sheltered world.

Touched by Death

What if Death was more tempting than you had ever imagined?

With Grams’s recent passing and a boyfriend who cares more about his next drink than her, Lou Adaire only wants to run. To start over somewhere new — maybe in a town where her family has history.

But when a storm sends Lou’s truck plunging into Tuttle Creek Lake, she discovers exactly what it’s like to fight for your life. To gasp for air only to have your lungs fill with icy water. To die.
