Dahlia Clark is a Hell Broker. You want to sell your soul, she’s your girl.
The only problem? She’s not seen her boss, Luc, in over two centuries.
Not since he forced her out of hell, out of his bed and condemned her to be his eyes and ears on the surface.
As far as breakups go, it could have been better!

When Dahlia meets Samuel Rose, a male incubus with the London Underground scene wrapped around his finger, things are looking up in the romance department.
At least she can dust off a few of those cobwebs.

Wrong.
Lucifer doesn’t like it when people play with his things.
It doesn’t matter that he dumped her over two hundred years ago. The Devil wants Dahlia back, whatever the cost.

WHAT I THINK

“I want you to kill them.” He stated slowly.
My painted lips twitched into a smirk. “Finally, Mr Parr, we are getting somewhere.”

The Devil’s Advocate follows the life of Dahlia Clark. She’s a Pureblood, connected to Lucifer, his mate. Though some time ago Lucifer kicked her out of Hell and now she’s working as a broker in Earth.
Dahlia meets Samuel Rose, an Incubus, a sex daemon. She breaks all her connections to Hell every time she’s meeting with Samuel so that he thinks her as a human. They meet each others in several occasions but is Samuel the one he claims to be or something totally different? Is there a reason for Dahlia’s dismissal from Hell?

From the beginning of the book I hard a hard time getting into this. It wasn’t exactly what I thought it to be, honestly it was something completely different. First of all I didn’t actually think it as a erotic story at all but I think that’s totally on me. Though I do not have problems with erotica, in this book it was problematic. I was grinning a lot during those parts and it wasn’t something that’s okay. Yeah, I know that Lucifer is the Devil himself and they all are creatures from Hell but I still think it was more abusive than actual sex. It was just hard for me to read, that’s all.

Usually I feel it easier to connect with the MC when a book is written in first person. But not with Dahlia. There’s something about her that’s still bugging me, I just can’t put my finger on it. But she did have some good parts in her too! I absolutely loved how there was a maternal part in her too, though she doesn’t really strike as a mom person at first at all.

Originally I thought to rate this with 2 stars only because all the grinning and hard parts, but as I was getting closer to the end and everything started to reveal, I quite enjoyed reading! It was totally something I wasn’t expecting at first and it was a great plot twist and upped the rating to 2,5 stars.
Even though I liked the ending of the book, I still can’t really say that I’d recommend it to anyone. But in case you like BDSM, this is a book for you. Otherwise, I don’t think the twist and action at the end of the book is worth of your time.
