I wasn’t tagged or anything but since I’m currently struggling to get through any book that I’m reading, I thought that I’d do a book tag just to get at least something updated here! This tag was originally created by Mandy and Zuky.
This Book (Like The Movie) Started It All
Favorite Debut Book From an Author
I think it’s always going to be Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. This was, after all the book (series) that truly got me into reading. There were also Rick Riordan’s books but Harry Potter is my first book love and it’s amazing and ahh if you haven’t read it, please go do that!
A Diamond In The Rough
Just like Cinderella, you either didn’t expect much out of this character in the beginning but they turned out to be a total gem
I’m going to say Nina from Six of Crows. At the start of this book, Inej was my absolute favorite and I kind of didn’t care about Nina. But as the story went forward, I started to lose interest for Inej and Nina really grew into me! She’s my favorite character in this book along with Matthias.
A book that makes you sleepy or just could not hold your attention
The answer is going to be All The Light We Cannot See. I know I haven’t even finished it and I’ve only read 200 or something pages so far. But damn. I usually love historical fiction but this book is just being boring for me. It’s confusing with all the hopping back and forth in different times and there’s really not much happening even it’s supposed to be war and it also says that it’s supposed to have love.
Under The Sea
A book with a water/ocean setting
Literally the first book that popped in my mind was The Lightning Thief. I think this is the best one from the books that I’ve read. I mean Percy is the son of Poseidon who is the God of the sea right?
Beauty And The Books
Name a book with the best bookworm/book lover
Throne of Glass and from that Celaena Sardothien! She’s a kick ass assassin and she loves to read books!
The Thief and The Princess
Name a book with an unlikely love story (either in terms of romance or a book you didn’t expect to love so much)
I have to admit that I really didn’t expect to love The Sun Is Also A Star so much that I’d rate it with 4,5 stars! The main reason perhaps is that I don’t really read books like this and the other that it is a super hyped book and as you might know, I haven’t really liked all the hyped books I’ve recently read.
The Real Life Princess
Name a book that is based on a real life person you want to read/have read
Is this suitable? I mean his definitely not any princess nor even close to a prince but it’s the first book that popped in my mind. Jack The Ripper is one along with WWII that really interested me back in the days of high school. And since my mom really tried everything to keep me getting to read this one and other books about him, it just upped my interest in the matter.
The Princess That Saved Her Country
Name the fiercest heroine you know
Can I answer with Celaena Sardothien from Throne of Glass again? I tried to look back to the books that I’ve read and she just kept popping in my head.
OHHHH and another one would be Kady from Illuminae!
The Princess With The Coolest And Most Diverse Crew
Name a diverse book whether it is a diverse set of characters (like Tiana’s group of Naveen, Louis, Ray and more) or just diverse in general
If I Was Your Girl is probably the only diverse book I’ve read this year, I think. And it’s the first that I could think to put in this one. There might be some diverse groups in books I’ve read but this is the one I wanted to put in here!
Let Your Longggggg Hair Down
Name the longest book you’ve ever read
Absolutely the longest book I’ve ever read so far is Pretty Girls by Karin Slaughter. It has a massive page count of 688!
But since I’m a sucker for mystery/crime books, I kind of flew through this book and it didn’t really feel that huge of a book.
I Determine My Own Fate
A book where there is no love story/interest or isn’t needed
I think almost every book I read has some kind of love story or interest. But this is a book that doesn’t have one: The Toddler Survival Guide. Literally the only book I could think to put here, I think I’m a sucker for romance too, huh?
A book in a winter/cold setting
Salt to the Sea is set in the winter time. It’s yet another historical fiction set in World War II but at least this one I really did enjoy! Even though I listened the audiobook version of this one instead of actually reading it.
How Far I’ll Go
A character that goes on a journey
Many books contain a character on a journey but for this one I chose Alice from Furthermore.
She goes on a journey in Furthermore to find out what happened to his father and comes across with many kinds of problems and people.
And that’s it! It actually took longer than I expected to answer all these questions but I really liked this tag. I hope you all are having a nice relaxing Sunday!
