It’s a readathon, hosted by Ely @ Tea and Titles and Val @ The Innocent Smiley, where you, my dear readers, could decide what I should read during this readathon.
This readathon ended yesterday and I did indeed manage to complete my personal goal of four books! I’m so proud of myself! I think I should do these readathons more often to actually get some reading done. But without further ado, let’s see what I read.
First book for me to read was Cinder, so that’s what I finished first.
I managed to read it in one day, which itself was a surprise for me since I haven’t done that in a while (except The Sun Is Also A Star, but I mean before that). I’m glad that I included this one in the poll and you guys voted it to be the first one. I think otherwise it would have continued to just sit in my self and wait to be picked up. It has been doing that since December, for some reason I have always found other books to read instead of this one.
And it was good, really good! I hate the way it ended since I do not have Scarlet yet and now I have to wait before I get to know more!

Next up was Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone. This one was a re-read for me but in one way it was a first read, in English I mean.
My love for Harry Potter definitely hasn’t change. This is the series that actually really got me into reading. I had been reading before too but this series was the one that made me grave for more and realize how much more I can experience through books than I might ever get to in real life. And for that I’m grateful! I would have missed so much if I’d stick to reading just sometimes just something. Books have saved me from many things and given me so much that I can’t even put it in words.

Furthermore was the third book you voted and probably the worse of all of these that I read. It wasn’t bad, but I don’t think it lived up to the hype for me, not at all.
I have a bad habit to get really excited of every hyped book there is. And then of course, I have really high expectations of that hyped book. I mean if all you hear from some book is five star ratings that are admiring the book up to the stars, why wouldn’t you think it’s going to be mind blowing book?! I might be the only one to actually be this way, but that’s me okay. And for that I think I have to stop reading all the hyped books 😀

Crown of Midnight is the fourth and the last book that I managed to read. This book shattered my heart in million pieces and it’s ending is as frustrating as Cinder’s! Why do you do that!? Why do you end a book like that?! But lucky me, the next books for these two are already published and I only have to wait to be able to buy them to get them.
I managed to finish this just yesterday night, an hour before the readathon actually ended. And yeah, still don’t really know what to say about this! I haven’t written the review yet but I’ll try to do that as soon as possible. But I do can tell you already that I didn’t like this quite as much as I liked Throne of Glass. And still, Team Chaol till the end ♥

I’m super happy about all the books that I managed to read during this week! And I’m very very excited about this readathon thing! I’ll definitely be participating in these more now that I’ve finished my first one. I don’t know why I haven’t done these before but this is a great way to push myself to actually read as much as I can, since obviously I can read more than I thought before this, LOL 😀
